Group Classes + Workshops

Whether you’re looking for weekly group classes to keep you moving, or a deep dive into the mechanics and techniques of lifting, we’ve got a group setting ready to meet you where you’re at.

Group Classes

Come join us in the heart of downtown for two weekly group classes, focused on building strength and body awareness.

Classes are held Sundays at 12 noon and Wednesdays at 7pm at Groundwork Athletics.

Movin’ and Groovin’

Sundays at Noon and Wednesdays at 7pm

Group classes are appropriate for folks with all movement backgrounds and levels of strength. Each class includes warm up + mobility, choose your own adventure strength + conditioning, and time to cool down + stretch

  • Classes are designed to be enjoyable and fun, just as moving should be! This means you do what feels good, and adjust or modify what doesn’t.

  • Some days are easier than others to be in a body. Show up however you are, and we’ll meet you and you’re body where you’re at in the moment.

  • Moving is better with friends! Classes are set up to encourage discussion and cooperation with one another, not just the friends you came with.

  • No matter where you’re at in you movement journey, the choose your own adventure class structure allows you to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

Join me for a 6 week workshop series where we enter the world of weight lifting in a safe and welcoming environment. Each day will have a different topic, outlining the key movement patterns and how to approach them safely. All levels of background are welcome, and we will have body weight, dumbbell and barbell options available to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’ve never lifted a weight before, or you’re looking to fine tune your form, this is the workshop series for you.

  • Learn the key movements and essential skills for safe weight lifting to build your foundation or fine tune your form.

  • Learn to lift with friends! How to spot someone safely and what to watch for to be a good gym buddy. #BETTERTOGETHER

  • Notes and key takeaways will be provided from each workshop, leaving you to be present in your body and with one another.

Group Classes

  • With two classes offered weekly, you come when you can by booking classes individually through our online booking system.

  • Each class has a focus and theme, but with access to barbells, free weights and accessories, you decide what your workout looks like in the moment.

Workshops

  • Workshops are set with specific days and times. It’s not a problem if you have to miss a specific session, but by signing up you are committing to the full 6 week series.

  • While this workshop would be of benefit for anyone looking to move their body more, the curriculum is focused on weight lifting with barbells and dumbbells.
